International Energy Agency (IEA) - Definition, glossary, details

IEA is a Paris based organization formed in 1973 with a membership of 25 countries. The main aim of IEA is to manage future oil supply short-falls. Adding to it, IEA has extended its activities to include providing energy statistics and other information and analysis worldwide. IEA is also a focal point for sharing information on emerging energy technology.
