Infrared radiation - Definition, glossary, details
Radiation emitted from the earth’s surface, the atmosphere and the
clouds is known as infrared radiation. It is also referred as terrestrial or
long wave radiation. The infrared radiation is different from the short wave
solar radiation emitted by the sun due to the temperature difference between
sun and the earth’s surface.
