Halocarbons - Definition, glossary, details

Halocarbons are compounds containing carbon, bromine or fluorine and chlorine atoms. These compounds are potential greenhouse gases that are involved in the depletion of ozone layer. Hence the manufacture and use of these halocarbons are banned under Montreal protocol.
