Carbon Price - Definition, glossary, details

Carbon price refers to an economic value placed on the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere due to human activity. A carbon price usually takes the form of either a carbon tax or as the cost of permits in an emissions trading scheme (ETS). The price is designed to create an incentive to reduce emissions.
