Baling - Definition, glossary, details

Baling is used to improve the characteristics of biomass for easy transportation and storage. This process increases the density of biomass. The baled biomass has less moisture content and can be stored for a long period of time without significant deterioration in fuel quality. The size of bales depends on the machine used and the density achieved depends on the biomass feedstock.
