Amines - Definition, glossary, details

Amines are derivatives of ammonia used as solvents in post combustion CO2 capture process to absorb carbon dioxide from the flue gas stream.  The amine is heated to release high purity CO2 and the CO2 free amine is then reused. This technique can be used in power plants for cleaning of flue gas stream.
